Funmi Omo Appointed CEO of Prudential Zenith Life Insurance

Prudential Zenith Life Insurance has appointed Funmi Omo as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. This leadership change aligns with the company’s strategy to enhance its presence in Nigeria, following Prudential Plc’s full acquisition of the subsidiary.
Funmi Omo brings over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. She began her career at African Alliance Insurance and held various roles, including Chief Operating Officer and later Managing Director. In 2020, she led the establishment of Enterprise Life in Nigeria, focusing on market entry, brand positioning, and product innovation.
Beyond her corporate achievements, Omo is dedicated to social development. She founded the Funmi Omo Initiative (FOI), a non-profit organization that empowers young Nigerian women through education and mentorship and provides university scholarships to its beneficiaries.
With academic credentials from the China Europe International Business School and Lagos Business School, Omo combines global business education with practical experience tailored to the African context.
Her appointment will drive Prudential Zenith Life’s focus on customer-centric solutions, digital transformation, and inclusive insurance coverage in Nigeria.
